Abstract We emphasize the distinctive cosmological dynamics in multi-component dark-matter scenarios and their impact on probing a sub-dominant component of dark matter. The originate from conversion among different components. find that temperature self-interacting sub-component matter is significantly enhanced by annihilation into sub-component. same sharply increases required cross section for as we consider smaller relative abundance fraction species. Because couplings sub-component, contrary to naive expectation, with fractions tends be disfavored direct/indirect-detection experiments observations. demonstrate this taking photon portal scenario at sub-GeV mass scale. For ? 10 %, subject warm constraints which are complementary parameter space probed accelerator-based experiments. Smaller tend due coupling Standard Model particles.
